Encontrar Esperança: Edição em Português

I wanted to be a writer when I was an elementary aged girl. I had long forgotten that dream. But God didn’t. This dream became a reality while my son was deployed while serving in the military. I had not remembered the dream at that time. It was nothing about me when I wrote the book. I wanted to encourage those who were serving our country and putting their lives on the line for us in the United States. That book provided a cascade of books.
I had a mission trip to Mozambique, Africa planned one year, and I wanted to have a translated book. Portugues is the native language in Mozambique. When I told my co-workers at work that I wanted to translate the book to Portugues, they advised me of another colleague who spoke the language. I was ecstatic, when the colleague offered to help and translate the book. He advised how some of the English idioms would not translate and we figured out common idioms to the Portugues language.
God is so good! The book was translated, edited and published in time for my trip to Mozambique! I brought several copies of the book with me to give to people I met there. Although I have not encountered any other Portugues speaking people in the United States, I have been able to share this edition with other people in Portugal.
